My cousin would've turned fifty if he hadn't died in 2019. His name was John Brown and he was born on September 9, 1970.
My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news. It never occurred to me how much I could lose.

I learned about John Brown's death two years ago today on June 16, 2019. I learned about his death thirteen days after it happened.
