The prompt was too perfect not to do a part 2 😁 Another one from my manuscript :) Since the challenge was Song I thought it was appropriate! Another siren inspired poem. Gonna put a bunch of these together in either a chapbook or a full manuscript! A woman with recurring nightmares about the sea finds herself being lured to it while on vacation with her fiancé. With worn out shoes and her nightdress blowing in the slight breeze she stood on the shore, looking out at the sea before her. Her chest heaved as her breaths became quicker and uneven. Something with... A young mermaid is captured by a fisherman and taken to an aquarium, where she becomes the main attraction.
