Smith ponders the wisdom of contacting Bradbury.
Bradbury contacts Smith. She has more questions and asks to meet. But is it a trap?
Kenz digs into researching the history of science fiction. And John Smith.
The Story continues: unknown to each other, Smith, Bradbury, and the teens set out to find the missing ones. Tension rises.
Smith makes contact with friends of the missing teens.
Bradbury and I talked about The Library and literature when we were suddenly approached by armed figures, "Don't move!" One shouted. I panicked. Had Kenz betrayed me?
The story continues. A year has passed and Kenz is a full member of the Shadow Web. helping to spread banned books. But kids have started going missing and she and Smith must solve the mystery.
Days passed as Smith waited for Kenz Bradbury to assimilate and study the data he suggested. What would she decide? Was she even now trying to find him to arrest him?
Smith and the teens converge on the alley where Bradbury has been attacked. They are not the only ones arriving!
Who was this man and why did he exert such a pull on her. Criminals had never affected her like this before. Was she getting in over her head? She silently thumbed off the screen and the lamp, sitting...
Smith waited on the park bench for Kenz Bradbury, Librarian 1st Class to arrive. She might hold the key to massive change or she might hold his life or freedom.
The story picks up steam. Bradbury, Smith, and the teens head toward a showdown with the Librarians.
Smith contacts the teens and begins making plans with them. The missing ones attempt to escape from their captors.
